Richard Crowe, Folk Art Richard Crowe

Richard lives in Halifax with his wife Joyce where he now carves in his basement and garage.  He is retired from a career in government officialdom.  Richard started painting and carving after he married and often worked in his father-in-law's workshop.  He didn't start carving folk art until Joyce spotted a carved goose at a store on Nova Scotia's south shore and encouraged him to try the style.  Joyce now acts as his colour advisor. Richard carves on pine logs that have been dried for several years and is very fond of painting polka dots.
