Fort Point Lighthouse, Liverpool Nova Scotia

Barry Hastings

Barry is a resident of Liverpool, Nova Scotia.  He is currently retired after working for a number of years for the Bowater Mersey paper company, a division of AbitibiBowater.  Barry is a recreational carver who avoids publicity and carves mainly for his own enjoyment.  He usually carves figures of people in sports or working at chores or in trades.  Occasionally he carves a public figure with an implied message much like a political cartoon.
