(Photo - Tidnish Bridge - This 1890 sandstone bridge was once part of the never-completed Chignecto Ship Railway which was planned to transport ships between the Northumberland Strait and the Bay of Fundy. This 27 km route would save boats a 1000 km seven day trip. To read the full story of this failed railway plan Click Here)
