James Ward Folk Artist

James Ward

James displayed at his first Lunenburg Folk Art Festival in 2014. He lives in Steam Mill, just outside Kentville and manages the receiving department for the Valley Health Authority. James started carving at age 37 and soon thereafter began focusing on insects and birds. He incorporates in his carvings weird-shaped branches he finds on his travels about the province.  Each piece usually requires several days to complete.
