Mae Workman,Folk Artist

Mae Workman

Mae began carving in 2000 when she and her husband moved to Middleton, Nova Scotia, from Quebec.  Before then she had been involved with a variety of arts and crafts and taught ceramics for 10 years. Mae has displayed her carvings at the Lunenburg Folk Art Festival almost every year since she started carving.  She carves birds, animals and people. When not carving, she tends her flower and vegetable gardens.
